This wearable sculpture is inspired by the Maritza/Evros River, the ancient Thracian region and its borders. Reflecting on hybrid culture and waterways as passages.
The landscape between Greece and Turkey is marked by barbed wire, a manmade border for both humans and non humans with shared ecologies. An imposed boundary severing access. The work questions the divisions between nature and culture, permanence and power.
